We Buy Plastic Scrap
If your plant throws away plastic, there’s a good chance it’s worth something. AP&J is a family-owned recycler on Haltom Road in Fort Worth, and we buy post-industrial plastic, grind it into regrind and sell it back to molders and compounders.
What a load is worth depends on five things: the grade, how clean it is, the volume, the form it’s in and how it’s packed. Clean, single-resin scrap in gaylords or bales is worth the most. Mixed or dirty material may still be recyclable, but it’s worth less, and we’ll tell you plainly where yours falls.
The quickest way to a price is to email a description and a few photos to jeanette@apjrecycling.com.

Materials We Accept
These are the resins we see most. If yours isn’t listed, ask: we can often take it or point you to someone who can.
| Resin | Common scrap we see | Forms we take |

- Household recycling or mixed trash
- Hazardous materials, including paints, solvents, chemicals, used oil and batteries
- Medical or biohazard waste
Not sure about something? Ask before you load it. For expired or recalled goods that need to be destroyed, including beverages, liquids and cosmetics, see our product destruction service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you pay for plastic scrap?
Yes. We buy plastic scrap, and what we pay depends on its grade, cleanliness, volume, form and packaging. We look at the material before we quote.
Is there a minimum load?
No. There’s no minimum for material you bring or ship to us. For regular pickups, volume decides the best container and schedule.
What’s the fastest way to get a quote?
Email a description and a few photos to jeanette@apjrecycling.com. Tell us the resin, how much you have and how it’s packed.
Do you take mixed plastics?
Sometimes. Sorted, single-resin scrap is worth the most and is the easiest to recycle. Mixed loads can still work depending on what’s in them, so send photos and we’ll tell you.
Can I drop off material?
Yes, by appointment. Call the office Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., before you come so we can be ready for you.
